About Iris

I am an Oslo-based artist working in printmaking, drawing, and textiles. My practice centers on process, materiality, and site-responsive methods, shaped by my studies in aesthetics, art history, and material-based art at the University of Oslo and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. I am a member of Norwegian Printmakers, Norwegian Visual Artists, Norwegian Arts & Crafts, and SAQA.

I investigate social and familial structures, focusing on how collective identities, power dynamics, and social expectations shape individual experience. Feminist perspectives underpin my work, particularly through the use of textile techniques and the quilt as a carrier of memory, community, and political narrative. Working across an expanded field of printmaking, drawing, and textile-based installation, I explore how surfaces can be transformed into sensorial, spatial environments that invite reflection on belonging, interaction, and the human façade.
